Honorary Director - Albert Hsiao-Chung Hsieh
Dr. Hsiao-Chung Hsieh, graduated from the Department of Mathematics of National Cheng Kung University in 1962, went to the U.S. in 1964 and received his Ph.D. He married his classmate, Ching-Chieh Meng, and settled in Orange County, Southern California.After graduation, he worked for Perkin-Elmer Corporation and then Aerospace Corp until his retirement.
 
Since joining the Southern California Alumni Association in 1987, he and his wife have been actively involved and have hosted and assisted in many large gatherings, such as the Northern and Southern California alumni meetings, the National Cheng Kung University Alumni Association's inaugural meeting in Taiwan, and the Worldwide Cheng Kung University Carnival in Los Angeles. His wife has been particularly passionate about the alumni association, and has been responsible for Southern California alumni connections and publishing alumni newsletters for over 30 years. In 2017 and 2019, he and his wife edited the book "50 Years of Excellence" and the book "Heroes of the Alumni of NCKU" to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the founding of the alumni association.
